For the first time in many years 2026 has felt like a more normal year. A pre-2020 year. Covid seems far away and you can sense the need for people to be together and in person. Recently I had the opportunity to connect with a client in person. We were able to break bread and talk more about life, family, and business. It was a time to connect to be together.
Kahana connects people. We connect the info with what the insured provides to create an audit. That info then becomes the document that a client uses with the policy. This way of connecting is a process that helps the insured and our client.
You might be thinking, “What does a photo of a cat have to do with connection?” This is our cat. She is affectionately known as Momcat. She was a farm cat in her early years. A local farmer found her and rescued her in the middle of winter. She was hunkered down in the hay. He took her in and a few months later kittens were born. He called her Momcat. The famer found a new home for her and eventually we became the caretakers for her. To our knowledge, she gave birth to 3-4 litters prior to being fix. She is fierce and always asking for food. She is super vocal with sounds. This is in part because in her formative years she never knew where her next meal would come from if at all. She hunts and eats whatever she finds outside still. In thinking of new beginnings, I think of Momcat. She is here now enjoying life and looks at Spring as a new beginning. You can tell she is content to just sit and be.
Take time today and everyday to sit and be. Enjoy the breeze or the sun on your face. Be present with those around you. Savor the meal, whatever it may be. This is how we can all connect and start anew.
